Ignition Cylinder

I need a little help I need to replace my ignition cylinder but having a hard time removing it. It's for a 2003 malibu:banghead:

I replaced the ignition switch, now the car won't start the theft system is flashing is there a way to clear this and start the car.:confused:

The system has to learn the resistors in the keys.. The Tech II which the dealers use is usually required for this procedure, however, you may be able to get away with leaving the ignition in the run position for about half hour.
