Alright guys got a good one for ya, my car will spudder and than just stall out. Than when I try to start it, it'll turn over but just won't fire. I have replaced the distirubtor with the MSD pro-billet, wire, and plugs. I have had wire replaced. I have had to have it towed to the garage three times now. After it sits she'll fire up but than barely lucky to get a block before it will spudder and stall out again. Once this happens it just won't start up again so can't be over heating in such a short time. When I take it to the garage they runs all tests on it, comes back systems a go and even test drive it with no problems. And you all know how that goes it only wants to act up when you drive it.:crying: Has anyone had this problems or any suggestions.........HELP

How much mileage do you have on that car? what type of fuel injection do you have?

It has about 95,000 miles on it and I believe it has individual injectors for each cylinder as far as a know. My problem now is that it only acts up when I drive it. It never stalls out of spudders when my mechanic drives it, so hard for them to pin point it. They had it all last week and tried all different things trying to get it to stall out and never did and always starts. So I go to pick it up and don't even get ten feet from them and putt, putt, stall. And again once it dies out it will turn over put wont fire up.

what did the mechanics say they checked? do you have a crappy idle?

the distributor
the plugs
the plug wire
those are all new just been replaced
the wiring cause the headers were burning some of them up
the fuel filter and ckecked full pressure
the coil packs
no it doesn't have a crappy idle its just a little lower now cause the MSD distributor has the setting on it for the idle so it idles about 1rpm and use to about 1.5rpm

Did they check the timing? it certainly sounds as if the car is either starving for fuel or air at one point or another or its receiving too much fuel in which case the engine gets flooded and then refuses to start up like u say.. Do you smell gasoline when this happens? I need to know what the fuel pressure reading is...Did they check the fuel pressure regulator? A malfunctioning idle air control motor might also be starving the engine for air.

Thanks for the input I will ask them first thing tomorrow morning. Like I said right now the biggest problem is that when they drive it which they did all last week it never acted up. They also told me that one day they kinda ran the piss outta it just to see maybe if it was because I was driving her hard and still nothing.:banghead: She must be mad at me cause she only does it for me. :crying:

well might have good news it finally stalled out for them and they discovered the ignition module had bubbles in it so the replaced it and so far so good.......

thats strange I thought we could rule out the distributor as a problem, well Im glad they finally figured it out although they should have found it the first time upon changing the distributor. So enjoy many miles of trouble free operation
