I cannot locate my pcv valve on my Blazer that I need to replace. Could somebody please give me the specific location where it is, or where it is located by. I dont want to mess with the wrong hose. And how exactly do I change it. Its a 2000 blazer 4x4 4.3 v-6. I would really appreciate it. thanks...:)

The PCV valve pushes into a rubber grommet in the center of the driver side rocker arm cover. The vacuum line slides onto the valve.

Thanks for the reply... could you be more specific where the drivers side rocker arm location is by where the pcv valve is located? Also this blazer is not starting up like it should, i replaced the fuel pump and filter and that fixed the problem the first time cause the pump was bad, now it has the problem of starting up again unless i put some ether in it and the battery starts to die from trying to start it so many times so alot of times i need to jump start it. when it gets running it hesitates to get up to speed even when i floor it. the fuel pump is still working so i am lost at what it could be now. I dropped it off to my mechanic, and he thinks the catalitic converter might be clogged could that be it or could it be something else? Sorry about i need more detail on where my pcv valve is located since i really dont know where my drivers side rocker arm is at. I am learning as i go along and the more i fix on this blazer...
Thanks ALOT.

Valve cover on drivers side.

A clogged cat will not usually cause a no start.
A engine vacuum gauge reading at idle and 2k will show a restricted exhaust system.
If lower at 2K than Idle your exhaust is restricted.

Do not use starting fluid for a start aid unless you want to blow off the PCV valve and valve cover and oil pan and plastic intake cover and shoot the dip stick threw the hood and put a extra hole in your head..
Only use carb cleaner for a start aid.

Was the replacement fuel pump a Ac-Delco/Delphi fuel pump or one of the buttermarket wonder if they will have pressure Airtex junk pumps?
For a hard start.
Check the cold start and hot start fuel pressure.

The only true test on a fuel pump is to check the direct fuel pressure from fuel pump.
A quick test is to block off the return line and see if fuel pressure comes up to 75-85 lbs.
But do not run the pump at full pressure very long.
Also when testing fuel pump and pressure you need to tape a gauge to outside windshield or outside mirror and drive it on the road for 20 -30 minutes
until the pump gets has run a while to check for a pump fading out after hot.

Hard to start cold or hot and fuel pressure testing guide lines.
Check cold start fuel pressure.
Check engine running fuel pressure.
Check engine running on the road fuel pressure.
Then shut it off and watch for fast leak down.
Pinch off at rubber part or block off return line and check full pressure.
If pump has full pressure with return line blocked and low pressure without it blocked most usually the fuel pressure regulator is leaking or not holding pressure.
Later V6 and V8 gm engines should have 60-66 fuel pressure.
Cold start should be 64-65 lbs of pressure.
If you do not have full fuel pressure on a cold start the injectors will not squirt fuel.
Do not leave home without it.
Engine running should be 60-66 lbs pressure depending on engine load.
Full pressure with return pinched off should be 75-85 or more.
And if it has a fast leak down after shut off you have a leak in system.
Post back fuel pressure readings.
