Hey guys,
I've removed the black plastic stuff over my climate control knobs on my 2004 Cavalier Z24 so they're now clear and the light shines through. Pretty neat. I'm wanting to change the lights bulbs to red. I've heard a few ideas, one is use light bulb paint? The other to buy LED's of some sort? I'm not sure which is the best way to go about it and was wondering if anyone has done this or is their a tutorial around I can follow. I've searched google long and hard and couldn't find one. Also I have no clue even how to get to the bulbs?
Any and all help is appreciated guys and gals.
Thanks,
Will

My old pride and joy setup I never got around to installing the last 2 gauges before I sold it all off and decided on a motor swap.
#74 bulbs are for the HVAC off www.superbrightleds.com they are soo tiny, if you have big hand like I do, be careful. Both of mine broke when i tried taken them out of the sockets. A 15 second job turned into a 20 min pain in the ass trying to remove the broken glass and wire. Also, make sure you do the tin foil mod to them as well, as it make the light more intense. If you don't find the info on that, just PM me or w/e.

Nope, found it on http://www.clubcav.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9445 and it does describe the tin foil mod.
That is a nice interior you had.
I was going to order from www.superbrightleds.com (http://www.superbrightleds.com/) but can't because they require a $25 minimum purchase when shipping to Canada and it would cost a minimum of $30 to ship. Thats to much to spend for 2 small bulbs so I'm trying to figure out another alternative. Any ideas?

When I searched ebay I couldn't find red 74 type ones. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place. I've never used ebay before. You have a URL?

Still looks good man. I haven't messed with my gauge cluster yet. I'm going for the HVAC and the dome lights first. Just ordered some. Can't wait till they get here!!
