Question..

First off, I have a Firebird, but this seems to be the place for the F bodies... Its a 1996. Since it wouldnt pass inspectoin in the great state of Texas, it was always illegal... It had a Georgia license plate, so that kept it out of trouble alot.
It was my brothers car, untill recently, but he let the Brakes and Rotors go to HELL!!! I mean BAD!...
But since he was noticed by the local police, the license plate... He decided to go ahead and get his new car he wanted, and he left the Fbird sitting. He planned on going back to fix it later, but he never did.

I recently got the car since Ive returned from Military, and I was wondering... Besides brakes and rotors, what problems is it going to have since its been sitting almost 1 year, without being turned on???

Im sure it needs a new battery, although the one in was somewhat new before he stopped driving it... Could it just be charged?
Im by no means a mechanic, so Im just wondering what will need to be replaced or fixed since it hasnt been drivin in almost a year...

Check the oil, coolant levels. prob change the oil before you start it up too. Why do you say it won't pass emissions? What year is the car, motor size etc.

Its 1996, v6... But it would never pass inspection, we never knew why...
Once they installed the dual exhaust, the 'Check Engine' light came on, and never went off...

But I have ways around the inspection, can still get one ;)
