Hey all!! I have heard that installing dual exhaust on some cars if the second new pipe gets too close to the gas lines it will get it too hot and cause vapor lock by turning the fuel into gas.
I am considering put dual on my 96 Cavy and i want to know if anyone knows if it will effect it, or does anyone have dual after market exhaust on...and has it caused you any problems?????
Thanks in advance

turning the fuel into gas....................maybe you use a hybrid that only uses batteries and by fuel you mean battery acid...........im kidding with you but i think you mean catch the fuel/gas on fire, if thats the case i think it would be possible but i highly doubt it, but i would run the second exhaust along with the first and if you want one on each side of the car just run a pipe a foot away from the end of the car to the opposite direction and then go out, that is just what i personally would do

actually thats not what i am talking about at all............its just gets the gas lines hot to where the ....gasoline actually heats up and turns from liquid to vapor causing a vapor lock. And as u prolly no a car cant run from vapor......

If vapor lock became a problem you could use an exhuast pipe wrap or maybe even insulate the fuel lines.

Just an idea.
