Clutch Break In

Hey guys. So hopefully this weekend or early next week I will be breakin in the new clutch, and I have a few questions about it. First off, length of break in. I've heard its a 500 mile deal, but I read a writeup on tuners that said 300 miles. What do you guys think? I think I may just go 500 to be safe, but if there's no reason to then I wont. Its supposed to be city miles too right? Stop and go so the clutch is getting used plenty? Lastly what about gas? I will be running a 16g at stock boost (10 psi) and FP2 cams, but since I wont be beating on it at all, think I can get away with running something cheaper? Definately not 87, but think 91 or even 89 would work?

mix between city and high way, not just take a 500 miles trip aint going to work that way, I do go over 500 miles under 3k rpm just to be safe.
What you mean by being cheap on gas ? get a honda if you want gas miles :banghead: , put 91 on that bitch and stay that way, metal to metal or grandma drive still has to use 91

Unless you're cheating the ECU with an octane reset mod, and plan on keeping it out of boost, NEVER pump "regular person" gas.

What kind of facing is on the disc?

I'm not using an octane reset mod, but you shouldnt boost anyway while breaking in the clutch, so this is why I thought I could get away with it.
The clutch disc is "metallic button clutch disc" and here is the link: http://www.clutchnet.com/product.php?productid=17486&cat=0&page=1

There really isin't much of a break in with that type of disc. I would drive it normal for a few hundred miles just to be sure but it wont matter to much. Also when you break in a clutch you can boost the motor. As long as your not dumping the clutch or shifting hard boost wont hurt anything. Once the clutch is locked in, a little boost isint going to make it slip.
