How do I keep my maro idle?

Hey
I have a 92 camero rs, had it for about 4 years. I used to race it alot, maybe up to 65 or so. Finally, I blew the tranny and flooded my engine. Then I got that fixed by getting a new tranny, and modifying the engine a little bit to work stronger. Ne ways, everything was running smooth but ppl think there's something wrong with my cars computer. Any suggestions on how to keep a carborated 305 running!?
