Anyone else have this issue -- woke up to a very strong Fuel odor in my garage.

Could it be from the Vent tube?
HELP?

Have you ever had a car with a fuel cell? I have two and you can smell fuel with both of them.

I have also had fuel smells w/ may cars with fuel cells. There is a quick fix and works fine in my wc car. Loop the vent or roll over valve hose twice on top of the fuel cell and wire tie it to getther. Make sure it is long enough to go under the car. This is just like water trap in a floor drain.

Sounds like you have way too much gas in your garage. I'll come by and get it out for you...

Both actually, both.

Have you asked the kids if they know anything about it? Is the car new?

I just ask this because it is summer time and gasonline can be fun to play with. I did as a child :loser: I used to pour it on the driveway and light it. It tended to smell like gas for awhile afterward. Or it could be the car :lol2:

Not to hijack this thread away from plastic army men and combustion, but what are all those lights and switches on your console? Looks like you have the aircraft conversion kit!?!? And yes I am just a little jealous....

The fuel cell vent is open to the atmosphere unless you are upside down.:runaround:
To eliminate the fumes you can plug the end of the vent hose while the car is stored with a rubber stopper/plug from the local hardware store.

******Important: You must remove the stopper from the vent line before driving the car or you will create a vacuum and the tank will gradually implode******

John

That's what sold me on the car...

It's wired for Cool Suit, Tail lights for the Enduro runs, Defroster and Wiper.....

I've only seen this on a few of the WC Cars...
