rear speakers are 8 ohm.

hello. i just got my son a 2000 alero for his 1st car. we would like to replace the stock rear speakers with 6x9 4ohm speakers,but i see the stock speakers are 8 ohm. would the 4 ohm load hurt the stock factory radio? thank you.
