I have a 2005 wrangler with about 50k on it. Here are my 2 problems with it

1. While down shifting into 2nd gear (when turning or stopping)the rpms almost drop to 0 the engine has not died but the rpms get really low then the engine revs up (on its own) then returns to a normal range. I say normal range but I think that the rpms might be just a little high for idling. This only started today so I will test it out more tomorrow and see if it happens when I truly am in 2nd gear or neutral. Could this be a fuel problem? Or do I need a tune up? At my last fuel up I put in an additve to help clean the injectors, could that be an issue it was the STP brand? I also recently had a vacume hose fixed/replaced a week ago that was paguing my A/C.

2. This has been gong on for a while... I have a grinding noise when I turn at low speeds. This only occurs when I have been driving for a while and never occurs when I first start it up. I have checked the power steering fluid, no problems there. This may or may not have anything to do with it but it started a little bit after I put new tires and rims on the vehicle. They are not huge or even big. I would have to look at them to be certain but they are just slightly bigger than the factory. The wheels are Uniques and the tire are BF goodwrench A/T.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

well I fixed problem #1 I had some build up in my intake cleaned it out and it runs great. Probably get problem #2 fixed this Friday I believe it is the CV joints. Even tho I am new to this forum, So far it kind of sux:thumbsdow, I haven't gotten any replies. Just by doing some research I figured out my problems. There has got to be a better forum for jeep owners... Any suggestions:confused:

I HAVE FOUND LATELY THAT YAHOO ANSWERS IS A GOOD PLACE TO GET INFO YOU NEED. I AM ALSO DISSATISFIED WITH THIS FORUM, AND CHECK IT ONLY TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN HELP WITH, BUT AM A NOVICE WHEN IT COMES TO JEEPS. CHEVY'S I CAN HANDLE, BUT I GOT MY JEEP A YEAR AGO, AND JUST LAST WEEK FOUND OUT THAT YOU NEED A SPECIAL KEY TO GET THE SPARE TIRE OFF (SUCKS WHEN YOU BUY USED). CHECK OUT YAHOO! ANSWERS, THEY HAVE A SECTION FOR PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP WITH JEEPS, AND THE LAST QUESTION I POSTED THERE GOT FIFTEEN ANSWERS, MOST OF THEM EVEN MATCHED WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WERE SAYING!!
