Floating or Press Fit pins?

I was just wondering if press fit pins and floating pins work in all connecting rods. I know that it makes a difference on the pistons but i wasnt sure about the rods. Thanks for any info

No, they are not interchangeable unless clearance issue is taken care of.
As far as design goes, many rods can go either way.
To convert to press fit the rod needs to be smaller or pin larger , to convert to float, the rod needs to be bigger or pin smaller (bushed or non). In either case the clearance/interference must be put in.
If your asking about a specific engine/rod then the difference between press fit and float is in the rod diameter and the pin bosses of the piston (usually whether it has a retainer system or not) because the pins float in the piston either way.
