How do I disconnect Cav pkg light sockets?

98 Cavalier.
I am trying to get the front headlight wiring harness out to inspect it. (So far I am seeing no corrosion.) There are amber parking lights in the bumper. The bulb/socket goes down under the lamp body. I can feel it but not see it. I don't want to break plastic parts. What is the way to disconnect these so I can get the harness out. I have the headlights, horn, and small side running lights disconnected. I just need to get this larger parking light disconnected.
