1967 Cougar.. Input needed

A family friend has a 1967 Cougar for sale and I'm very interested. Now this is where the problem comes in, he removed the rad support and this unaligned the front end. I can get the complete car for 1000 dollars but I'm wondering if it's worth trying to salvage it or it's not worth the headache.

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks

How rusty is the car? The front end should remain straight even if the support is removed, unless the car is so rusty, it's very weak. If the car is very rusty, run away.........

Can you post any pictures?

Hello,
I agree with the response the you received from Magic Rat. I definitely cannot see the rad support being removed having any affect on the alignment unless their is any other damage or the car is a basket case. Rust is definitely a big factor in this car. As far as a 67 Cougar goes it is a desireable car, chances are not as desireable as the big block cars or a 1969 Cougar Eliminator but being the first year of introduction it's probably worth grabbing as their is not a lot left in existence today.
