lumina 1992 3.1 problem

hi to everyone its my first time here good forum my problem is when i push gas pedal to run more faster the car took some mechanical failure i replaced the gas filter and i take off all of the injectors and i cleaned and the pump have 40 pds anticipate thanks

Maybe its a sensor. I'm not sure if you get codes off a lumina like I could with my Chrysler(turn the key on,off,on,off,and on again leave it on,and the check engine light blinks in sequence,,,it told me I had a bad camsensor,but that was last year),but maybe you can ask about getting codes to read you the problem. good Luck,,,Trisha

That is so true. It always best if the person is at the car,or given a better idea of what is truely going on.

Maybe you left a hose,wire,plug off. When you do injectors,do you have to see if you are getting flow threw that little valve thingey,I'm not to brite with cars,I just watch guys fix them,and try and learn off of it. Or oh,what about the fuse under the car hood. That happened to me once,the fuel fuse,its a fat blue one on my other car. It was about 7 bucks I think. I dont remember. But it fixed the problem with getting gas to the car to start.
I guess,just wait for the professionals to answer your question. lol

:cwm27: hi and thanks to all people to help me but im already fix my problem i measure the spark plugs wires to see how many reisistence they are and i found 3 cables that not working at all i replaced intalling a new kit and the problem disappear thanks again

ohh nooo my car start the problem again i dont know what happend with that car i replaced all the spark plug wires but the car still with the problem and smells a lot of gasoline i take out all sparks one by one and i founded a 3 sparks with gasoline ¿ could be the ignition coil ? anticipate thanks

Well you surely dont wanna mix gasoline with a spark thats a uhohhhhhhhhhh for sure. To bad you are having trouble. Isnt there some way you can get a code off the car to tell you what is wrong,that is what I suggest. The have reasonalbe mechanics on the craigslist.com under service. Maybe some one off of there has a computer can help you for a cheap price. Good Luck though. I wish I knew more,but I really dont. Sorry!!!

Sound like one or two of the coils are bad. This is easy to check though, while it is idle pull off the wires one at a time and check for spark against the coil terminal. If it sparks move to the next one until you have checked all six. I had the same problem with mine and ended up having to change two of the coils. If that is your problem it wont cost but about $25 for each one you have to replace.

yay but didnt you hear him say he smelled gas. why would you check a spark with gasoline present?? Plus, the beginning of his message was that he replaced fuel injectors, He probably for got something with the O rings,or the fuel line. I would be very cautious around that car from what he has been telling us. That is only common sense!!!

Check all the fuel things before touching and messing with any sparks!!! :screwy:

to everybody i'll check the coils and are good all of them, but there is a fitting on the top that measure the the gas pressure and the measure is 0 but if i unplug the gas filter gas come out of the line when im put the swith,another thing is im disconnect all of the injector and when im put the ing switch on but not to start the engine i heard gas in the middle of the manifold hole i mean going through the piston an smell a gas i dont know what was that. i verified all this things and i think the problem is the gas pump anticipate thanks.:loser:
