How do I disable the airbag on a 99 lesabre?

I need to work on the steering column and I need to disable the airbag.Is there a fuse that I can take out that will make it safe to work on?I want to put an aftermarket woodgrain steering wheel in.

Disconnect the battery for ten minutes, but always be careful here!!!
