While driving my 99 caravan the interior lights flash on and off repeatedly also the door locks continuely lock at the same time. Now today drove it a mile then went to restart it and it was dead. Waited 5 minutes and it started but had a hard time. Anyone tell me what they think it could be?

The no start and lights may or may not be related. Most of the electronics, including your door locks and lights, are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). A search of the forum will reveal this little gem of a box is a hot topic. To add to that the computers/modules on the van talk to each other over whats called the CCD data bus. A weak connection anywhere on the bus can create seamingly unrelated problems such as flashing lights, clicking relays, erratic instruments, or hard or no starting. Common fail points are the instrument cluster connector solder points and a connector behind the climate control panel.

A simpler possibility would be a weak battery or loose or corroded battery connections. Electronics on the van are sesative to voltage spikes and low voltage. Chattering relays creating erratic accessory turn ons are a sign. If the connections are clean and tight I'd consider getting a load test done on the battery. If the battery is more than 4 years old you might consider just replacing it.
