After much procrastinating, whining, complaining about women, forgetting to eat, spending all his time communicating with the world via a keyboard, blah blah blah yada yada Mikey finally finished his model of his 1:1 ride :icon16:
Mike would like you to think it looks like crap. You be the judge.
Dragon BMW E36 w/M3 aero package. Wheels aren't like his 1:1. It sits low like the 1:1. It's thankfully a lot quieter than his 1:1 and doesn't emit gas fumes like the 1:1 or it's owner. Cool model...even though Mikey doesn't think so

Looks great! I wouldn't have believed it from any other source. I'd've thought it was April 1 or something.
Great work, the paint is very excellent. Very clean and beautiful build. I sure hope Mike is having fun building, sometimes I'm afraid he makes it into to much work!

It looks good Mike! What are the chances of finishing two in a calendar year?

That is one clean M3 - beautiful! Well done Mike... but the rear side windows look a bit odd.
IMO they would benefit from black trim on the window.
Check here for reference:

Cheers
PS: Mike left the wipers off to save weight and for aerodynamic reasons, right?

Dammit Bob, I knew you'd post it. :ban:

Thanks Dave. No turned parts on this one. I want to build another full detail to match my car even further.

Thanks Robrex, turning out two builds in a year...that would be the end of the world.
Here are two quick pics of my 1:1 for reference.

The modifications are great. It is a decent model. The paint job looks a little dull though. You might want to try another polishing job?

I knew you could do it Mike!
I am surprised this doesnt have scaled down, hand crafted cams, valves, etc.
It is great!
Will you bring this to NNL in November?
Morton, Dirk, all will be so proud! :)
It is a great compliment to have finished this while also making 256,000 posts on this board!
I cant wait to see your street rod done!

Nice build! I love BMW's, and it's always nice to see a BMW model finished. It's even better to see people with BMWs!
