engine types

Can anyone tell me which engine is better in a Buick a 3.1 or a 3.8 and why?

The 3.1 makes less power and depending on the year, had issues with the intake manifold gaskets leaking.

The 3.8 makes more power and has won numerous awards for its reliability and durability. The only downside is that it gets slightly worse fuel economy.
