My next project: Lamborghini Miura from 1971.
Manufactorer: Hasegawa
Scale: 1:24
Bodypaint is going to be yellow.
From time to time I'll show progres in "HOW TO" style. I hope there is something usefull and helpful for you.
Let's see what i was doing lately:
PICTURE 1:
First I depthened the panels and put some putty where it was neccesarry. I drilled some holes for further attachement of small parts.

PICTURE 2:
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu2.jpg
PICTURE 3:
Interior. I don't have airbrush, so i painted it with matt black spray (P --> 1). Because seats are made from leather and it is semi-gloss I had to do something about it, so I polished parts with some Car wax from Sonax, till they got some shine (P --> 2 - leather effect). By my opinion it looks quite well.
I put some BMF chrom foil and grey flocking on door panels. (P --> 3)
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu3.jpg
PICTURE 4:
To make interior more realistic I made foot-mats. I'll let the pictures tell more: 8)
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu4.jpg
PICTURE 5:
I flocked interior and added some minor details.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu5.jpg
PICTURE 6:
PE seatbelts are from KA-models
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu6.jpg
PICTURE 7:
Wheels have valves now.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu7.jpg
PICTURE 8:
This model won't be 100% clean, I decided to make a little dirty one. --> I putted some black dirt on wheels. As you can see, the body is already in primer.
http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p210/matic176/Miura/miuravdelu8.jpg
That's all for this time, I hope you like it. :) I'll be glad to hear any questions, opinions, etc..
Enjoy!

Hmmm, you said you dirtied the rims, but i don't seem to be able to see the dirt on the last few pics. I love the look of the door panals, and seats. Looking forward to seeing more.

I used the material (tube is from thin metal) to make base for foot-mats, because it is thin and quite strong. That gold-brown metal on picture is mayonase tube from inside.
Hmmm, you said you dirtied the rims, but i don't seem to be able to see the dirt on the last few pics
First you have to know that I didn't put much dirt on wheels. Anyway, there is some dirt for sure:confused: , but it is not very good visible on pictures.
Have a look at this one:

And a reference:

Here is visible the difference between wheel and wheel nut. I am going to put a little dirt on it too, but really little.

Very nice ideas! I'll be watching this one closely as I plan starting my own as soon as I get the PE parts for it.
I also bought a PE parts from Studio 27. There are also available PE parts from AcuStion for Miura, but I have to warn you that it is said they aren't very suitable for this model.:nono: One guy on Italianhorses site used them and wasn't satisfied with them.
Ofcourse there are included many parts for Lamborghini Jota- racing version of Miura, and I won't be able to use them all, because I am going to do the basic Miura model. But never mind, PE parts looks great, I am only a bit scared how I'll manage to place them properly on car, because there are so many of them...:p

I'll do both of them using the Studio27 PE parts, once I get them. I'll probably start with the Jota and than build the Miura in a few years time when I'll be a better modeler.
Back to your build now, we are all expecting some updates! :D

Really like the flocking you've done on the interior. How did you get the image on the gear stick? is it a decal or P/E part?

Good decision on not trying to cut open the doors. I think 'rolling down' the windows should show off your interior work pretty well.

PE parts fits perfectly except of those, placed on the upper side of doors. I had plenty problems with fitting, they were 2-3 mm too bright and standed too far out of the body (marked with green color on the picture). Therefore I had to make some modifications- I bended 2 mm of each PE part for 90° down. (red arrow) It is not perfect, but I had no other chance how to do it.
