OK its 3am, and I'm bored. I just basically wanna see pictures of peoples rides, basic description (if felt like) and if its a daily driver or what not. So next time I get bored I have something to do. :D

Here's mine 89 Mustang GT for street/strip, NO winters.

I think they are cool, much better then the rusted and dirty ones on my car.

it's got a brand new black canvis top and I but a larger radiatior to deal with the summers out here. Also I've got a hord of new bbk bolt ons from a buddy of mine who works in a shop. I was going to get 3.55s gears (ala highflow) but on a whim i bid on some 3.73s on ebay and won them for a whopping six cents. So those'll be going on soon.

HiFlow5 0
03-09-2003, 01:02 AM
Six cents? Whoa!! Make sure to have them inspected for wear and missing teeth buy a shop before having them installed. You'll be a lot happier with 3.73's over 3.55's, especially in a vert! OH yeah, nice ride!!

SkylineUSA
03-09-2003, 01:32 AM
I like my 3.55, but then again going 85mph everywhere it keeps the revs down a bit.

BigDanTheMan
03-09-2003, 02:44 AM
correction, they were 3.27s that i won for the price of 3\50ths of a dollar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33731&item=2405632989&rd=1 here is the proof!

I really wanted 3.55s, i was afraid that 3.7s would kill me on the road trips that i so greatly enjoy. thanks to highflow for the pointers. skyline, what's the sticker supporting on the back there?

SkylineUSA
03-09-2003, 03:57 AM

are you an american living in brittan or what? I like your car's profile, it doesn't look as tough as highflow, but more aggressive i'd say. My car looks like a mid life crisis.

grimmy
03-09-2003, 02:12 PM
hey skyline, what color is the hood on your mustang?

and how much does a skyline cost over there?

SkylineUSA
03-09-2003, 02:22 PM
Dan the Man,

I am half Brit, half American. I am in the USAF sationed here for 3 years. Yeah, my car is set up. She is very stable at high speeds, and can out corner most cars without even trying, no oversteer at all. Before the suspension mods, the ass end was always whipping around.

grimmy,

The hood I painted. The whole hood was the same color as the car, a Paridse Corvette Blue, but the cowl part of the hood had two big holes in the paint. So, I fiberglassed it up, and blocked it off with masking tape and painted the cowl section black.

You might be able to see it better here. I have a lot better pics on another thread. I'll see if I can link it for you.

Here is that link, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=57225&highlight=stang

Much better pics of her there:)

As for the Skyline, which one? I paid 5k for my 93 R32 GTSt, and 12k for my R32 GTR. I got a smoking deal with mine, brand new clutch, and about 10k in receipts for work that had been done to it in the last 4 years. Only 33k miles on the Odometer, boost controler, and upgraded turbos.

R33 GTRs will run any where from 19k-35k, and R34 GTRS 45k-55k.

Lose the blue Brake calipers and rotors

I agree, paint those drums black. It really distracts from the rest of the car. Other than that, it looks awesome. Nice rake as well, HiFlow5 0:)

That PIC is kinda old, so there are a few things that look different. Yes, I agree, the blue was a bit much. They are black now, but hopefully the drums will disappear soon altogether and with 4-wheel disks will appear.
Here's a somewhat new PIC.

highflow, those pix are so much better. sweet rides all around. I'd like to let my car look stock from the outside except for a ram air scoop and just have a beefy engine. People would be like, it's stock - i got this sucker, and then i'd be like - nope, later.... and then girls would like me.

yea, i'd imagine that it would take all those mods for a cougar to beat a mustang. Good for you.

I also like that guy with the nasty looking red car telling you the Cobra needs a carbon-fiber hood. wtf??? Yeah that would look great.....idiot, thats not a Honda.

CougarSVT
03-10-2003, 04:32 PM
No its not a honda but it does drop 40lbs off the Cobra!

DeViL
03-10-2003, 05:07 PM
Is that really necessary though? I'm assuming 94sv5.0 dosn't really care that his car isn't light as a feather.

94svt5.0
03-10-2003, 05:44 PM
To me its more important that all the body panels are the same color then if I save a few pounds. Cardomain has got some real dumb people. But, hey its all good for a laugh:D

And cougar svt dude, your getting alittle arrogent arnt ya? Didnt you say your best time was a 14.7? Most any mustang would take you other then the v6 mustangs.

I'll have to uncover the Marlin, but the Grand Prix is no problem to show. All I need is a new battery for my digital and i'll be set.

Scott 02
03-11-2003, 06:29 PM
The Marlin is covered up. It is going under resortation. The Grand Prix wouldn't be an issue to post. Just as soon as I get a battery for my moms digital camera then I'll be all set.

GTStang,

I can't wait to see those pics. You need to move south, so you can enjoy your cars all year round. I grew up in Phoenix, eveyday warm and sunny. At least that is what I remember:p 115*, but its a dry heat:eek:

I dunno Skyline I was born and raised here in Mass, I think I'd die in that kinda heat. 6 more months I'm done college, I'm either going to Georgia or London, who ever offers more money.
