Ok, so im half way through my rear brakes on my focus SVT and im trying to get the Caliper piston to go back in so that I can fit the pads and caliper back around the rotor. The problem is that the caliper piston will not go back in. I have even used a couple of c-clamps to try to squeeze it back in. Can anyone help me with this problem. I have also opened the brake fluid resivoir so that isnt the problem. HELP please.

Here is the info on removal and installation of the rear brake pads.

Removal

If the pads are tight against the disc, remove the screw plug that covers the adjustment gear on the back of the caliper. Turn the gear counterclockwise with an allen wrench to retract the piston.

Installation

Turn the adjustment gear clockwise with an allen wrench until the pads just touch the rotor, back off the gear 1/3 turn, then install the screw plug and tighten it securely.
