82 accord doesnt keep running HELP ASAP

i bougth a 82 accord i drove it 10 miles to a friends house after buying it andf during the trip whenever i stopped at a stop sign half of the time it stalled its a automaic and then ive had it at my friends for 2 weeks i came back to come and change out both fuel filters and spark plugs air filter and change oil add 6 gal of gas with feul sabizer since this car sat for 2 years or so before i got it and after i did this mini tuneup it doesnt wanna keep running i have to keep pumping the accelater to keep it runniung the motor sounds great the tranny works great too so i know its getting spark i tryed to keep it runningg for 10 min incase it was the filters needing to be filled up well i loooked again they are installed proplery with the correct direction of flow the spark plugs are the ngk as req. on the sticker on motor gapped at .045 the old plugs were also ngk same kind please help asap this is posed as of 5/25/08 i gotta fix it today and drive home 4 hours to work tomattow so im srreanded here:crying:

Grab the carb and twist it, make sure it's not loose on the manifold or the bottom (throttle plate) section isn't loose to the carb body and sucking air. Grab the intake manifold and do the same thing. I've seen both loosen up on old ones like that.

If I'm reading you right it only has trouble idling/low rpm rolling, right?

Most common issue with that is vacuum leak. If the above doesn't do it, try spraying starting fluid, WD-40, carb cleaner, whatever you got all around the carb, intake and vacuum lines while it runs...engine speed will change when it sucks that into the leak. Those have a spaghetti factory of vacuum hoses, and all of them are probably cracked from age and sitting. Pay close attention to them and replace all ASAP.

Check to be sure the PCV valve isn't stuck open too, that makes a huge vacuum leak...

Possible it might have sucked some sediment or rust into the carb and the needle isn't seating fully when the float tops up, making it flood at idle. If it smells rich or needs to be cleared like a flooded motor to get it to restart suspect this...
