1999 Cavalier

Hello , I Bought a 1999 Cavalier used it has a little red light to the right of the cig. lighter . Does anyone know what it's for... It has never came on , The car didn't come with the lighter . I don't know if the light is for that , Thanks

its probually for either a remote starter or an alarm system. look under your dash for any aftermarket lookin wires/modules if you find a module - look for some identifying marks so you can get a remote

yaeh, it was most likely one of those but it was probly yanked before they sold it and just left the light so there wasnt a hole in the dash

ya i have a little red light above my steering wheel and its for the alarm system it blinks when my car is shut off

me too, i never post on here anymore and once again i was like wtf? he has a 180 speedo and i had to think for a sec to remember your in canada, i do that everytime i see pics of your dash, lol

Thanks Magoamerican, I'll take a look .... there is a horn under the hood next to the firewall that doesn't look factory ,thanks again ...

nope, not factory, the factory one is behimd the bumber on the passenger side, since you still have the horn in the car maybe the system is still in there, you should take some pics of under the dash on the driver side and post them
