2005 Grand Am headlight/turn single wiring problem

Not sure if this has a wire crossed or if this is normal for this car, I brought this 2005 Grand Am with damage on left front. I have fixed it, but think maybe something still wrong with wiring. this had DRL lights,.. and I have read stuff on here, but still haven't found what I was looking for. So will try to explain this one.... light swtch only has (auto,park,headlight) on it, with it on auto, and handbreak pulled up, you can start the car and lights will stay off, even if you put into gear, but headlights will come on when you release the handbreak. And they will still stay on if you pull the handbreak back up. they will not turn off again until you shut the motor off and start it up again with handbreak up. And this I can live with, but the following problem with the turn single does bug me.
And I noticed that when headlights are off, if you put either turn single on, the inter turn single bulb will blink and also the bulb on the far outside of headlight assim. and they BLINK TOGETHER. But if you have headlights on, and put turn singles on, then these two bulbs will ALTERNATE WHEN BLINKING, and the same if you use either turn single, which is ok I guess, but thought that maybe one of the grounds in the wiring were switched or run through the headlight wiring or something, and maybe should be corrected. Other info, I also noticed that if you cover the DRL sen. on dash, or put car in or out of gear, that this doesn't seem to afect anything.

From what you are describing everything sounds normal.
The DRL's will come on once the car is put into gear and I believe when the parking brake is released. Same with the auto headlights. The DRL's will go off once the car is put back into park, but the auto headlights will stay on until the car is shut off. The turn signals are fine. During the day ( lights off) they should blink together, at night or when the lights are on they should be alternating.

The light sensor under the defrost vent is the ALC- auto light control, which turns on your headlights at night automaticly.
Sounds like everythings working normal. :2cents:

Thanks,... the two turn single bulbs in the same headlight assim. blinking aternatly when headlights were on made me wonder if I had a wire crossed in there somewhere. And I noticed even if I cover up the senser on the dash, nothing happen, but guess it is ok. I sure am not a fan of these DRLs
