Stumped on this motor...

Okay I put my new motor in about 3 weeks ago. I have since replaced the dizzy cap and the rotor along with the fuel filter. I now notice that I am losing oil. About 1/2 quart every 100 miles or so. I have been told that could be bad rings or a valve seal. If I let it idle for about 5 mins it will create a damp spot about 3 ft long and a puddle about 1/2 ft. long behind the exhaust tip. Its water as I smelled it and its clear when I run my finger through it.
There is a knocking sound as if a rocker arm is coming off the valve. Could that be caused by having a different cam than stock? If not could it be the seal or did the jackass that did the cam work not set the clearances right?
Anyways if you have any thoughts on what the hell could make my car burn oil and leave a water puddle behind the tip tell me what you think.

probably a dumb question, but did you replace the head gasket? also check for oil leaks by the oil pan......

There is no oil leaking from the engine I have been under the car like at least once a week since the engine was put in.

I dont know if this is the same knocking your talkin about but my friend's ZC motor made that loud ass knocking noise. We were tryin to figure out was wrong with it. SO we did a valve adjustment but that wasn't it. Then 2 days later his camshaft broke in half while driving!!:(

if your not leaking oil from teh enigne, then its either valve seals or rings. is your exhaust smoke all blue ?

I get this too, it has me Hella confused!! i dunno why it does that and my car shoots blue smoke when i rev it high while in neutral, i've run it on really cold days tho so when it idles i dunno if its smoke or just steam or w/e that is lol, but someone told me I have condensation in my muffler and thats where the waters coming from but it doesnt stop.... also, i just replaced my valve seals so i think they need 2 be worked in for it to stop burning oil, i dunno, if it keeps it up then i'm gonna be pissed, it'll b another 200 bux for a gasket kit when i do all the piston rings and shit!:( sorry, had 2 vent on that. i hope all ur problems get fixed man, and if u find out the reason for the water coming out the exhaust then lemme know cuz I think it might be more then just condensation

Wow, i thought it was just me that was having this problem. One of the techs at work told me piston rings or exahust vavles guides.
