Removing the front sway bar will help a little with the launch. It removes weight off the front end and doesnt limit the travel of the front end. But you will suffer with "bodyroll" around turns on the street. I kept the sway bar in my car because it was 90% street car and I could dead hook and carry the front tires for 10 feet or so on the street.
What rear control arms do you have? What kind of bushings do they use? What tires are you running?

For the AVERAGE person with the AVERAGE mustang, removing the front sway bar is not going to amount to squat. Removing the front sway bar is something that's for people that have track only cars and don't drive them on the street. There are alot of OTHER things you can do to go faster, that is SAFER.
