Weird Electrical Issue

I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT. The problem I am having is when I turn the key to the "ON" possition it's like I have no interior electrical. All the gages are unresponsive, no radio, windows will not roll down, sunroof will not open, but the car starts, runs and can be driven. After a few minutes everything comes on and seems to work fine. Sometimes after they come on either the Service Vehicle Light or the Service Engine Soon light comes on, but the next time I start the car I don't get any warning lights. I've looked for blown fuses, but found nothing. Any ideas?

The ignition switch and column harness would be among my first suspects. There is also a possibility that the underhood electrical center has poor connections at the main power stud, main body fuses, problems with the bulkhead connector. If all other interior accessories work with the switch off, I'd suspect the switch.

I've got a 94 GA that the ignition switch sticks between the run and the on position giving similar symptoms you describe. I just have to make sure to turn the key back a bit to correct the issue.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm experiencing the same exact problem with the same exact year/make/model. Also, could you indulge on what the cost of repair was? Thanks!
