96 geo tracker cranks but no start

Hi, I am working on a problem child geo tracker. 1.6 L multi port injection. This car will crank and crank but will not start. I pulled the fuel line off at the filter and turned the key and gas was squirting out. I replaced the distributor and nothing changed. I have checked the timing belt and it seems to be tight and in the right place. I hooked up a noid light to the injector harness and it worked, but it just barely lit, like there almost wasn't enough power. Same with the spark, they do fire, but the spark is a reddish orange color which I've heard means that it is too weak. I am at a loss of what to check nex, any ideas?

Did you replace the whole distributor assembly including the sensors or just the distributor itself. i dont know if there is a sensor like the mass air flow sensor that sorta controls the fuel output.

I had a 94 that ran great but would not start. If you pored gas in the throddle body it would start. The ECM start circut was bad. I had the guy on Ebay fix the ecm for $60.00. After you pour gas in it, it wll start just as you release the starter The ecm is not turning on the injectors on start. there are and have always been a start and run circut. Good luck

not to be rude..have you thought to check the fuse in the fuse block under the dash on the driver side?..mine has a purple cover that snaps off and has a 15 amp fuse marked coil/ignition...

You might try and check if there are some codes in the computer. It is really hard to have something go wrong in the engine compartment without having some codes come up on the OBII test. I think that you can access the OBII codes without actually starting the engine, but with the ignition turned on.
