Hi guys,
since there was very big interest for this transkit....and then Fujimi decided to do model of it, I decided to get it anyway.

You will now have the possibility to judge for your self is this thing worth or not.

So let's start

Box, nice :sunglasse

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160599.jpg

parts inside, packed nicely, very well fixed so that everything stays in shape.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160600.jpg

and this is what you get. I got surprised that there were no wheel rings to make full rim, big minus, because you will have to butcher one good set of wheels.

resin aerodynamic kit.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160603.jpg

rear part is made out of two separate parts, upper bumper with partial light housing and diffuser.

Upper part looked a bit flat, but I checked it with kit part and it is basically the same shape, so if Fujimi did it wrong this one is wrong to (maybe I am a bit subjective since I am doing Tecnomodel 1/43 kit and the rear end is done much better).
On the diffuser there are slots for PE wings.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160605.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160611.jpg

One thing bothers thou, panel line is terrible, irregular, deep on one place and very shallow on other, but it is far from straight line.
End exhaust pipes....no comment.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160606.jpg

Front bumper looks good, it is nice and clean, size to the body is same, upper part sticks out like the real thing, overall shape look good, I am not certain about edge around intakes, since they look a bit more heavy on the real thing, but this could be because of paint/reflection.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160607.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160608.jpg

there are some PE wings to insert in this side duct.

Side skirts look nice from the outside but a little crude on the inside, since you will have to put a net there you will have to sand.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160609.jpg

fit is ok, I didn't fix it but it click's in place with no problem.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160630.jpg

Interior parts (resin) are seats and middle console. Seats look good, again very poor panels, a lot of flash and junctions on parts where you should have fully gloss CF finish.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160612.jpg

central console looks like real thing.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160613.jpg

And now.....wheels

this is the thing that is bothering me the most. I have checked many pictures, friend of mine made graphic comparison to prove me that front and rear wheels have same spoke shape but on the pictures they just don't look the same. I have seen Scuderia in person but I never even doubted that front and rear wheel could be same, so I didn't check.

Anyhow CM made them same, I have made some pictures to show you wheels from all angles and you will have to judge it your self and if anyone know it for certain (have access to car), please tell us, I hate when I don't know :iceslolan

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160614.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160615.jpg

well there had to be two different molds for wheels since rear ones have longer hub to compensate wider rim.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160616.jpg

I had one set of Revell tires (glossy ones on the right) and Fujimi ones on the left.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160623.jpg

and this is how it looks.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160626.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160628.jpg

So those were resin parts, I have cleaned them in the mean time and they look much better.

Now for the PE.

No complains here, three sheets, very nicely made.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160617.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160618.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160619.jpg

Decals, one stripe option, nice print, very gloss, they look a bit thick but it may be visual look. No seat decals, that's shame (for central seat part).

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160620.jpg

The part that could bother someone the most. Instructions. Two pages, no cutting diagrams for resin parts (ok front bumper is not problem but rear one, hmmm) wheels?....not good.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/sjelic/F430Scuderia/P5160621.jpg

All in all, not bad, not perfect but not bad. If only I knew are the wheels same or not

Thankx for the in-depth review!

from the pricing, i think i rather get the fujimi scuderia kit & spent a little on those p/e sets. i expected more than this, for this kinda price. the rim rings, like you mentioned, is too 'shallow' to be called a transkit.

yeah, i believe the rear rims sports a deeper dish than the front one. i hope someone can confirm this too...

meantime, let's see someone does an in-depth kit review on the fujimi kit.

cheers!

One question! What price?

It's a better t-kit than I could make....unfortunately bad timing for CM.

...but the CM kit could still be used to make a Scud Spider...and CM at least needs to sell the rims separate.

One question! What price?

let me see...after some currency conversions & shipping+ , it's about 3X the fujimi scuderia kit.

like i say, hold your ($$$) horses, let's see what the fujimi kit has to offer.

At least the PE looks good, and I'll probably buy an upgrade kit if they decide to make one for the Fujimi kit.

After seeing photos of the trial shots, I pre-ordered the Fujimi one (and Tamiya GT-R, both coming out this month.)
The wheels are different on front and rear (the center of the rear wheel is indented deeper), and it seems that the difference is accurately represented in the Fujimi kit.

Hi Sasa,

thanks for the review.

Just as you mentioned: now as the Fujimi comes, buying the transkit is predominantly a question of the price.

The echted parts look great, but I think, it will take some time for a correct fit of the inner part (vents) of the brake discs (and when the wheels are on, nobody will see)

Resin parts donīt look bad, however needs much cleaning.

The exhaust on the rear skirt ? I agree – no comment ;-)) . The wheel-size confuses me as well

It might be interesting to have the Fujimi kit (I havenīt seen it yet) and add the etched parts of the transkit, maybe they will be offered separatly

There is an Italian that posts here that was going to do a tk. I wish he would do his as I am certain it would be better than the Fujimi kit offering and the CM tk together. But I guess after seeing this review I will buy the Fujimi kit and find a good p/e set.
