Hello to everyone!
First I want to apologize, my english is not perfect, but anyway, I want to show you what I was making lately.

VW Beetle is one of the most known cars all over the world. It had been produced for more than 60 years, and during that time it's shape hadn't changed much. Especially the shape of this car is something special. Imade Tamiya's model in 1:24 scale, the 1966's version. :P
It is a good kit, plastic is not bad, I needed only little brushing and rebuilding. Kit includes many details to which I added quite a few detailswhich makes the model even better and more similar to the original. 8)
Final touch gives the photoetched decals, which were already included in Tamiya's kit.

Enjoy in pictures!

Very nicely done. Excellent colour choice.

These are the type of models I enjoy seeing posted the most - cleanly built with a lot of attention to detail. It's really about the basics and not how much PE or aftermarket bits you put on..

Bravo..

very good modeling skills & paintwork.

say, the black lines running all over the car...is it by paint washes, black marker or real rubber strips!?

First, thanks to all.:iceslolan

...say, the black lines running all over the car...is it by paint washes, black marker or real rubber strips!?

I used a tape, which is used for isolating electrical wires. I made a very thin strips of it with a modelling knife, and then just put it on proper place. I didn't have to put any more glue on it, because it was already on tape.

If anyone is interested in working proces:) , you can look at it here:

Very nicely done, you made a great job of it. Extremely clean and the tape was a good idea, hope it doesn't move after a long period of time.

Well, now it is already few months since I finished it, and it still looks OK. So, I think it will stay there.
