Finding Engine Number For 290

Hi ... looking for engine no ... It is on the rocker cover tag .. but trying to find it on block .... If can help that would be great

Other than the big numbers "290" under the engine mount brackets you won't find it on the block. The valve cover tag is the only place they put the actual engine ID#.
