Hi,

I have just started Doohan's 98 bike and also have the '99 model.

In the instructions for the 98 model it says to paint the blue as x-3 (Royal Blue) in the '99 model it says to paint the blue x-13(Metallic Blue)

Which blue is correct? or are they both correct where the 98 model isn't a metallic Blue?

Thanks

The colour on the 98 bike was turquoise blue...
You need this paint....

so the 99 model is a different colour again?

I noticed the decals for the 2 bikes, the 98 is a fluoro orange where the 99 model is just a bright orange. Thanks for the tip about the zero paint but by the looks of the paint it would only do one bike. I'll just stick with the x-13 for the 98 model, x-3 for the 99 model.

That does present a problem however. Whats an equivalent tamiya colour replacement for MS9 Fluoro orange? lol

Thanks

Yeah, the 99 bike used a dark blue, only the 98 had the turquiose colour. The x-13 isn't a bad match actually, though I'm not sure the X-3 is right. Too light IMO.
Tamiya don't do an MS9 equivalent....:crying: Both bikes used flo orange, Tamiya just didn't do the decals right on this one...and Rossi's 02 Honda. :eek7:
