My 98 mazda 626 is a great car. last week my wife complained with the brake pedal jerking and erratic stopping on dry pavement normal stopping. it started all of a sudden and was the same each time you stopped. There were no warning lights on. For a quick fix so she could drive to work I pulled the ABS fuse, the small 20 amp fuse under the hood, of course the abs lights as well as the TCs and TCSoff lights came on also, but it fixed my problem, no more pedal jerking. So today im tracing down the problem and found the sensor ring on the left front axle outer bell had slipped off and was not turning. i guess it was pushed off by a rock or other debris. the sensor is in place. so with jb weld i pushed the ring back on the axle and its good. now my problem. when i put the fuse back in my lights are still on. ive driven the car at all speeds for a few miles the brakes are great but i still have the lights. is there a procedure to clear the ABS?
