96 Infiniti I30 Pulling

Hi, sorry if I am duplicating a thread, but I really need help. I am a girl that knows little about cars, and I have a 96 Infiniti I30. First off let me start by saying that I know the front end needs to be aligned and new tires. When you start to accelerate the car is normal, but when the shifts gear for the 3rd time, it will jerk to the right. Sometimes it is really hard, others not so hard. It doesn't jerk any other time, just when it shifts that third time. I know a guy who used to be an Infiniti mechanic and he says that I need to replace the axles. Another guy says to replace the cv joints. With it only pulling when it shifts, I wonder if it is something to do with the transmission. I was told the transmission wouldn't have anything to do with left to right movement. I am not loaded, so it makes it hard to just change everything and see what works. Would the alignment fix this problem, and why is it only pulling when it shifts the 3rd gear? Whats wrong with my car? Any help would be appreciated.

Do the alignment and ask to check for any suspension etc support free play. Shock absorbers are to be changed every 60k miles, during that operation everythin can be inspected. Vehicle sails =killer -if- shocks are old. Dont kill yoursef or others, read: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/25

Why only 3rd? I guess theres smtg worn in front, bushings etc that gives free play only certain pull force, only with 3rd gear u can replicate it. Tranny its not, axles almost impossible.

Whatever is done, get multiple opinions, quotations. Ask friends for shop reference.
