springs vs coilovers

I recently bought a set of APC coilovers for my cav. I have yet to install them cause i have heard they are poor ride quality compared to some of the more top end ones like ground control and arospeed. I'm thinking i should have boughten eibach springs instead when i had the chance. All though the good thing about about coilover is the ride adjustment for shows and what not... it all depends in the look your going for. Another thing is you do pay more for quality.....

What does everyone think, witch is better?

even the high end coilovers and springs will effect ride quality...unless of course you set the dampers to soft, then whats the point???? having coilovers on my eclipse i have to say that ride is down right shitty.....hard, bouncy and when you hit a bump yout in for a rough ride.....i would re-sell the coilovers and go for the springs....won't be as bad...but by no means will it be like stock..

the strut assembly on the cavalier is alot like the one on your eclipse..
(There a mint car by the way). when you did coil over install or didnt you, how did you go about doing it if you dont mind me asking?

quality counts whether you go with springs or coils. you can get a coil system with eibach springs. it's all about the desired ride. if you buy low end or cut em yourself (please dont do this) the experience will be negative. i have ground control on eibachs and have adjusted them once due to snow and the need to drive in it. the car tops out but that's because the rear is slammed. springs give you no choice but coils if tampered with repeatedly will become a problem (worn threads and adjustment knobs) its a trade off. but still quality counts.
