Hi All,
I have a '97 Geo metro lsi, 1.3, 5 speed, 164k miles. It idles at 7,000 RPM. It has the cel light on but I can't even get it to a place where I can have it read. I tried replacing the TPS, but that didnt do anything. It says in the manual something about the idle speed control motor, but I cant locate one of those either. Any ideas?

Well that is still 2,000 rpms lower than a formula1 car idles.
J/K. You may have a huge vacuum leak somewhere (brake booster hose, brake booseter, PCV valve) or the throttle is binding open somehow.

No vacuum leaks, and no binding.

Why can't I seem to find a idle speed control motor anywhere?

The idle speed control motor looks like a black box on the back of the throttle body. I came across a brief section in the factory service manual. I hope that this will help you in your quest.

Thought I'd give you a visual on what the idle speed control motor looks like.

7,000 rpm is wide open, the rev limiter is the only thing stopping it. I don't think the idle speed controller has that kind of capacity. You've got a huge vacuum leak or the throttle butterfly fell off.

Yeah, Woodie, I'm with ya man.
On the other hand I took a picture anyway:
