98 sebring convert battery problems

hey guys i got a problem here.... my 1998 sebring wont start on its own.. but when i jump it and start it it runs just fine but then when i turn it off it wont turn back on and i have to jump it again... could this just be the battery or something else? if its just the battery i can have AAA replace it

the battery needs to be charged and load tested. (most likely your problem) but you could also have a bad alternator. (not likely since it runs once jumped). if the aaa guy puts a new battery in it have him check voltage running with a digital volt meter. that should tell if the alternator is alright. mike
