96 2.2l 5 speed need to know where to hook a tach lead i have heard at the computer under hood , computer under dash , and wire on gauge cluster which is it

Ok here is what I have found. The Tachometer signal begins at the Ignition control module, and from there goes to the ignition coil, then finally goes
to the Instrument cluster.
Here is what you need to do. On the ignition coil is a three way wire connector labeled C,A, and B
C - is a white&black wire that runs to the ign module
A - is a pink wire that goes to the ign module and the Hall effects sensor
B - Is a Solid White wire that goes to the Instrument Cluster Tachometer input.
On terminal B the white wire coming from the coil is the one that you need to hook your tach wire into.
