Ok, so this is going to sound retarded... but right now i need to know what size the head bolts are.. We have tried 13mm its just barely too big. 12mm is just a little too small, 7/16th is too small and a 5/32 is too small... anyone want to help me with this? :banghead:
Dang i feel dumb :shakehead

Uhhh, 99% sure mine needed a hex key to come out. I couldnt tell you what size it was, but I had a 3 pc kit "GM Brake Calilper removal" tool kit (the Cavy's brake calipers were held on by hex key bolts) and I just used the biggest one on the head bolts. The ARP nuts are 14mm pretty sure though...
EDIT: Wait, 420a or 4g63? If its the 420a I'd check out that 1/2"... since its a Chrysler motor it probably uses a few standard sizes.

I used 1/2" on my builder block so if you have the 420A You may have jacked the points on the bolts and rounded them. The car only has like 5-6 different socket sizes through out. 8 , 10 , 12 , 14 , 17 , 3/4". I striped an entire car and motor with those so..you may need to look into those claw head sockets for stripped bolt heads, GL.

thanks.. i think we are going to go get those stripped header bolts.. And I don't have a 420A I have a 2nd gen 4G63.. I will see how much some things cost.. Im pretty sure the Chysler people rounded my bolts on purpose just so they could look back and make fun of me because they know someone, somewhere is having this problem :P

You're 100% positive that it actually is a bolt?
