aftermarket headlight bracket

Has anyone had bad luck with the aftermarket headlight brackets? I've already ordered them before I read a bunch of bad things about them like spacing and bouncing light. I can't adjust mine because the adjusters are locked up. No penetrating oil would do any good whatsoever.
