02 fuel gauge and dashlights Help

Hello Im new to AF and I just got a 2002 grand prix gt I have been doing some searching but cant find my answer the problem on the car is 1. the fuel gauge is bouncing around 2. the ac only works on 5. 3. the dashboard lights go on and off at times along with the lights for the ac panel and driver and passenger window controls. being that this is going on all at once do u think its just a bad ground, fuel sender, blower resistor, ignition switch or all in one please help me out I am thinking about replacing the fuel pump but I dont know if this will fix the problem. that many different problems is probably not a common issue between them. also i have an 02 GT that i have had a bunch of lights go out- passenger door lock switch, fog switch, heated seat switch, lights behind climate control, lights in back of DIC. I have soldered in new led lights into the switches or replaced the switches and have had no problems since that point. I just think they used poor lights in that year myself. Dad had a 95 GP and none of his lights have went out. But you say that your lights go on and off so i'm not completely sure.

did you see any electrical work that looked like may have been done to the car by the previous owner. They could have messed something up but I can't see how it could effect all of those. some of the others on here that may have seen this issue before will chime in soon enough.

thanks for the reply I dont see any electrical work done on the car but my headlights work its the lights behind the dash, ac panel etc.. it almost seems like there is a short somewhere because they come on and off at the same time i dont think its the bulbs. I agree that the first thing that needs to be replaced is the ignition switch. Everything that is acting up is fed power from it, and your symptoms are classic. The contacts in the switch start to arc from age, and will cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. There is a tutorial for switch replacement in the tips and maintenance subforum if you want to try and tackle it yourself. you may have other issues as well (the blower motor resistor [extremely common issue on these cars] could be bad causing the high speed only issue), but wait until the ignition switch is fixed before replacing anything else.
