01 Side Exhaust

Hey, I have an 01 eclipse, and I'm thinking about redoing my whole exhaust, and finishing it by spliting it at after the cat and doing a side exhaust, on both sides. Does anyone know any eclipse specific side exhaust kits, or any general side exhuast kits you know of? Also, any tips, feel free to add.

PS I did search this but the words "side" and "exhaust" come up in several topics, just not next to each other, that I could find, which is why I posted.

Don't do it. You don't have a mustang. And it would just look stupid.

Well no one is going to make a side exit exhaust kit for the car. But you can deffinatly have one made at your local muffler shop.

it is unlikely this is giong to be a constructive modification no matter how cool it may be, the ride height won't accomodate a decent side exit exhaust, that especially means if you plan on lowering it. Good luck figuring it out though.

do you have a muffler on it?? Of course that is no. At some point on the eclipse it is necessary to find a place for the muffler which won't be easy per say

Srt4s do not come with mufflers but are turbocharged which compensates for the excessive noise usually accompanying a straight back exhaust.

Well, I thought about putting the muffler on it at least, lol. I was just gonna do one muffler, and just run pipes off of that to either side. I still gotta check dimensions and such, but the idea is that. lol

My Srt4 had a muffler, but now it doesnt of course...neither does it have a cat.
My eclipse has neither one of these either but instead of dumping out the side, I put on a turn-down so it dumps down on the ground. Echos nicely.

But you would have enough room under the eclipse to put a muffler before you Y it out the side. You dont have to have a huge ass muffler, there are alot of small mufflers on the market. Or you could just glass pack it which is what I would probably do.

I don't mean to be a knowitall, but your sure it had a muffler? Reports I read made me believe it had no muffler, only resonators. But I'm sure they could have changed the design.

It had a muffler. It wasnt a huge muffler like most cars have stock but it was a muffler, because at first I cut it off and just put a straight pipe in its place.
