Hello all,
I have a 1999 Explorer, 4.0L 6cyl. Since its been cold its had a hard time idleing for the first few minutes in the morning without giving it throttle. Even then it is hard to keep it from stalling. Once its been idleing for a few minutes it dosn't have a problem any more. The idle control valve, plugs and wires have just been replaced but the problems is still there. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what other things I can try to fix it. Thanks in advance

Check the fuel filter. If it gets below freezing any water that may have accumated in the filter will certain restrict it. I had a similar problem with my wifes explorer this winter. It rarely freezes here in central Texas but this year we've had more then our fair share. It runs much better now and cold or hot starts are much quicker plus it idles like when it was brand new. Not bad for 95k very hard miles

You may want to check your IAC valve if the previous post is no help.
Seen many of them stick during cold conditions.
Keep me posted!
Good Luck!
