So my home boy has a 2000 GMC sonoma 2.2L auto. He wants more power because the 115hp 2.2l is obviously pretty pitiful. Anyways I was thinking a 50hp wet shot. Would that be safe? Whats the most you think we could run safely?
Heres the kit I picked out:

Think this will work?
Thanks in advance.

My bro has a Sonoma also same like your boys and it is waaaaaay under powered. I would say turbo before spray. Seems safer on those lil POS motors.

I'd light it on fire and roll it down a hill before I'd even put a CAI on it. Its the pushrod 2.2 inline 4, same as in my Cavy. Absolute worthless performance engine. That motor was built to get a vehicle from point A to point B and honestly trying to make it do more than that is a waste of money.

I mean, its not like we are trying to make a drag truck out of it or anything. And we dont expect it to be fast or anything. We're just going to do some stuff to make it fun. We're going to do my famous PVC CAI, thermostat, home made exhaust with the classic Thrush glasspack, Jet stage 2 performance chip, and thinking about the 50hp wet shot.
But anyways, will the kit that I picked out in the first post work? And will the 50 wet shot be safe?

I installed a CAI on the truck and it sounds a lot meaner than it did. Beautiful growl to it now.

But nitrous will blow that shit up. Give it a try and let us know!

I think it'll hold it for a few sprays, but I cant see it lasting too long before the rings and/or headgasket are fucked.

well its just that factory specs doesnt put your vehicle up to a shot of nitrous... therefore it wont last...

Fine I will be the one that says it.... Go for it. As long as you dont lean out you should be fine. I would start with a 35 shot though.
