lowering a 4x4

Hey all, first post here. I am going to lower my 4x4. Anyone know if I will have any problems with the differential stuff? I'm going to cut springs off to get it down there. I used to have 2wd models that I did, no problem. I've never had a 4x4 to drop before. Any insight?
