Is this going to be a problem in the future?

Hi all,
I'll start from the beginning, im 19 years old and a university student and own a v6 3400 2001 alero, i got it used from the original owner at 80000 km on the odometer when i was 17 and was eager to get into it as soon as i got it as it is my very first car. The first year of owning it wasn't so bad then after my first year of owning it my starter went on me and I got it replaced, a couple of weeks after I got it replaced my check engine light came on and would then go off after a period of time and come back on within days for about a few months also in the middle of those few months my thermostat went and some days would work and on other days wouldn't work, one day while driving on the highway coming home from a class my check engine light, abs light, service vehicle soon light, and trac off light all came on at once, i took it to the dealer right away and they replaced the thermostat and the left front hub bearing for $800 and said that the hub bearing was the main cause for the sensors going off.
After the hub bearing had been replaced, the sensors did not go off anymore until two weeks later when the check engine light came back on, i took it to the dealer and they couldn't figure out what was causing it to go off then one day i started the car because i had to go to work and it started REALLY rough, something it has never done before and right then and there i knew something was definately wrong with my car also within seconds my check engine light began to flash and my low coolant sensor went off and the car just died, i tried starting it again and it did start up but coolant was coming out of my exhaust and I knew it had to have been a blown head gasket, then the car died again and would not start anymore. I called the dealer and they said it would cost me $2000 alone just to open up the engine to see if it was the head gasket so i told them to try and rip off someone else and took it to a mechanic who takes care of my father's car. He opened up the engine replaced the head gasket for $1000 and I have not had a problem since (it has only been a month since I got the gasket replaced).
I have had a nightmare with this car and because of it refuse to buy another domestic car ever again and yesterday to top it all off I was pulling out of the garage and my abs light, trac off light and service vehicle soon light all came on at once and i started to freak out of frustration but I put the car back in park turned it off and turned it back on again and those 3 sensors did not come back on and haven't come back on since and I have driven it quite a bit since yesterday. I just wanted to know if it just was a sensor malfunction or if its telling me there could be a problem with the car (i know its a stupid question but this car has made me sooo paranoid that i wanna just drive it into a lake). If anyone can give me any information as to why my sensors went off yesterday that would be great.

The wheel sensors are only one possible cause. You could have other issues such as wiring, hub electrical connector or even the electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM). To determine the specific cause diagnostics should be run with an ABS capable scan tool otherwise it is just a guessing game and you will be throwing more money into it needlessly.
And welcome to AF.

frobotz,
Your experiences with your Alero are unfortunate but unless you have something constructive to say that will be helpful or contributory then please refrain from flaming or passing on your derogatory views. I recall this is your second warning. The third one will be a charm. A formal warning via PM will follow.

My experience has been just like everyone else that has an Alero. Thats why they have no resale value. These cars we poorly built and the electrical on them are not much above a complete joke. Passlock, Constant problems with window regulators, blinkers and dash lights that work when they want to. leaky plastic intake manifolds. Mine might have been an extreme version, but all 3 of the people that have Aleros where i work are trying to sell them for a reason. My opoint is simply that he shouldnt bash all american cars just becasue he bought to worst one ever.
And no noone has ever warned me about anything.

I am not sure why that poster received a warning for derogatory remarks. If I asked the original question and then read his response, I would take it as valuable info.We ask questions to get answers and obviously he is not happy with the Alero. There are probably only about 362,003 other Alero owners who have been turned off of the GM brand!
I could understand if the "offending" poster had made remarks directed at the OP,but come on, if you are handing out warnings to anyone that badmouths the Alero you are going to be a busy man!

First of all it is none of your concern when a Moderator issues a warning to another member especially without knowing the full history or facts. I'm fairly lenient and will allow members that own Aleros ample time to rant or vent about their Aleros but the stuff gets old and there are times I have to put my foot down. The poster sold his Alero and his comments amount to nothing but trolling and non-contributory at this point in time. There was nothing valuable in any of his comments that we do not already know. I did not see any advice that would be helpful to the OP did you? This is a tech forum where we supposed to be helpful when a member addresses an issue or question. If you have any dissatisfaction with your Alero and desire to rant about it then we have other off-topic forums where that can be done. Stress Release is one of them. Any further rant posts will be deleted and any other action deemed necessary to enforce AF Community Guidelines.
Now in your case and to others willing to challenge me or make me a "busy man" I would highly recommend referring to our Community Guidelines that was agreed to at sign up. See below.
Warnings and Bannings:
Not adhering to these guidelines can result in your account being temporarily or permanently banned. The length of the banning depends on the severity of the guideline broken. During temp bannings a member may not post under any other account. If this happens and it is discovered, all accounts belonging to that person will be banned permanently.
The following situations can possibly get you warned and or your account banned:
1. Ignoring moderator's warnings for any of the items outlined in this document.
2. Heavy personal insults (includes racism, sexism or any other ism's).
3. Campaigning to bring back a banned member, whether in your posts or in your signature.
4. Criticizing a moderator's decision openly in the forum.
5. Making constant attacks on other members and moderators, aka, trolling.
6. You are underage.
7. Post Whoring.
8. Making an Alias Account.
9. Posting pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit or objectively material.
10. Failing to learn from a previous suspension.
11. Impersonating another individual by creating an account that looks very similar to that member or by other means.
12. Having an offensive account name.
13. Scams or the promotion of scams.
14. Advertising other forums when asked not too.
15. Posting of copyrighted material and illegal software.
16. Continuously bumping up threads.
