hey there,
after viewing some old posts, I am still wondering about the MAN/PWR buttons. what's the default position for the ECT-S?
I bought my windom just a few weeks ago. and I didn't set MAN/PWR button. the dashboard didn't show anything ECT-S.
shall I push the MAN button to save petrol? or the PWR for speed/petrol.
also the TEMS button's SPORT/NORM, is it related to ECT-MAN/PWR?
Cheers

I run my Windom with overdrive on (button just below gear shift) and nothing showing up on the dash display. I have played with the pwr and man buttons but for normal driving, the overdrive on is great, sometimes go out of overdrive on windy hills.
A mechanic said not to use the overdrive in town as it put wear on the gear, but I can't see Toyota making something that did that as most of their cars spend their lives in town?
Only problems I have had have been replacing shocks and with some module in the trunk that stops you getting the car into gear unless you depress the small red button on the console - some sort of safety feature I think? Oh, and I have a small leak somewhere on the coolant side, I thought it was from the coolant expansion bottle as it is under there, but no it seems to be deeper inside the beast.
Anyone know what plugs it uses and how to change them?
cheers from down under in New Zealand.

The plugs needed for your car are special platium plus they cost me $107.10 pl tax for six but they do 100,000 ks and to replace them the manifolds etc have to be removed When I bought my car I replaced the cam belt and rocker cover gaskets so was common sence to do plugs was rather expensive however have now owned the car for two years only other expence was the climate control packed up and cost me a lot of money lovely car though so smooth to drive my next expence will be the front shocks as they are getting soft and as mine has the sports option I think its going to cost me about a grand Hey I live in Auckland

Hey.
I would suggest you spend $1 and try QuikMechanic at:
http://www.ineed1.com/quikmechanic.html
I used them before and they helped alot. I did wats emy money and go to a mechanic without being prepared and without spending to much money like $68 per hour, and still don't fix it. It's just $1 anyway, so you can't go wrong.

Hello
I have just bought a Windom 2.5G... does this mean it is a sports model?
What do those two buttons marked ECT by the gear shift do?
I too have some sort of leak near my coolant bottle... what did yours turn out to be?
