2004 Cavalier

Going to look at for purchase 04 2dr Cavalier this morning. Need some thing that gets decent milage for 100 mile per day commute. I'm told it has 74K miles on it, body looks great in pictures I've seen, told it runs great and is being sold due to financial hardship. Asking price is $3800 obo.

Kelly BB indicated $4800 for excelent condition down to $3800 in poor condition, what do you think? Any known problems with this year oor model I should look out for?

I just tested the gas mileage on my 04 sunfire this weekend. My tank is roughly i think 10 gallons. Not sure about the newer tanks yet till i snag one for my 99. But i put in $30 to fill it @ 3.65/gal and i was able to drive it 361.8 miles before filling it back up.... So roughly 36miles to the gallon highway at 70-75mph.

The ecotec is a great motor, majority of people are running them forever it seems. I know a guy with 170K on one. Still running good.

Try to get a 5 speed tho. But i am prolly just bias.
