egr valve problem

got a '97 2.2 liter and i would like to know if anybody can tell me if the area under the egr can be clogged or should i just get a new egr i replaced it once with a used 1 but light is still on.

Have you reset your computer? You have to reset the ODB in order to make sure that the problem is resolved. Once you reset the computer and if it comes back on..have the code pulled again then go from there
